This lemonade is a real cracker. Any store bought sweet drink can hide- this is completely different level, upper flavour league.
It is just ideal for hot days- it hydrates you and cools you down beautifuly.
One tip before we start- just wait a moment until you add ice to your lemonade. Let the flavours of parsley, cucumber and lemon develop and infuse the water.
Makes 4-6 servings
- 1 and 1/2 litre mineral water (I used still water but you can use sparkling as well)
- 1/2 cup agave syrup (or white sugar)
- 1/2- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- bunch green parsley
- 1/2 cucumber (long one), cut in ribbons
- 1 lemon, sliced
- ice cubes
-
Pour 1/2 cup of mineral water into small pot. Put it on a small heat. When water is warm, add agave syrup (or sugar) and stir until dissolves completely.
Place parsley, cucumber ribbons and lemon slices in a serving jug.
Pour water with agave syrup, lemon juice and the rest of mineral water. Stir and check the flavour. Add syrup or lemon juice accordingly to your taste.
Wait a few minutes until the flavours combine.
Fill the jug with ice cubes. Serve immediately.
